  1. I had no idea what an “Alkaline Diet” was until I read this book. In the book, the goal of the Alkaline Diet is to: eliminate/reduce foods causing acid buildup in the body and add foods high in minerals that help the body alkalize itself.I’m shocked that some alkalized foods like lemon, lime, and grapefruit are okay to eat, but the explanation that the author provided helped me understand why it’s okay.
